HOLLYWOOD HILLS

                      Welcome to HOLLYWOOD HILLS

Where do you begin to describe a neighborhood whose reputation precedes itself? Where no two streets are alike? You can start by location.

Hollywood Hills is a picturesque hillside neighborhood centrally located within Los Angeles. Nestled among the Cahuenga Pass within the Santa Monica Mountains, Hollywood Hills borders Studio City, Universal City, and Burbank along the north, Griffith Park on the north and east, Los Feliz on the southeast, Hollywood on the south, and Hollywood Hills West to its west. Known for its world-famous LA scenery including the Hollywood Sign, the Hollywood Reservoir, the Hollywood Bowl, and more, Hollywood Hills is one of the most well-known and prominent neighborhoods in Southern California.

“The Hills” are widely regarded as the most centrally located area in Los Angeles. Living here allows for an enjoyable commute, in a time and visual sense, to “The Valley”, “The West Side”, or really anywhere in L.A. You can still be fashionably late to a red carpet event but you will have to make up an excuse as to why.

What sets The Hills Apart

  • Breathtaking citywide view

  • A vibrant recreation and cultureal scene

  • Unparalleled luxury real estate

  • Privacy galore

Southern California may be most famous for its beaches, but what many people don’t realize is that its beauty extends beyond the shore. Beyond the sand and ocean, Los Angeles also boasts some of the most breathtaking scenes. If you love beautiful panoramic views and being surrounded by the natural elements, the Hollywood Hills should be at the top of your list when looking for your new home.

During the daytime, in the midst of the warm and beautiful California sun, the Hollywood Hills stands as a welcome respite from the big city hustle and bustle of downtown Los Angeles. Whether it’s a clear skyline or a bird’s eye, a home in The Hills can include views that are second to none in the city. Why leave your home when you can gaze at uninterrupted sunrises, fireworks on July 4th, or fascinating skylines?

One of a kind Lifestyle

Hollywood Hills residents are just as eccentric as their Frank Lloyd Wright designs. As everyone from attorneys and studio executives to celebrities and artists, call it home.  Here, you can find everything from luxurious trophy mansions to small and funky bungalows. In other words, there is truly something for everyone. Plus, no matter which property you choose, your house will be surrounded by lush and beautiful greenery with trees, shrubs, flowers, and grasses at every turn.

The Hills are truly an oasis from the rest of Los Angeles exemplified by the corner of Laurel Canyon and Kirkwood. Here you can drop off your dry cleaning and grab a coffee. Jim Morrison used to frequent the Canyon Country Store where you can get groceries in addition to their signature pastrami sandwich. Want a romantic night out? Then check out, Pace, an Italian restaurant that has organic options with locally grown ingredients.

A Night Out

While most of the neighborhoods in Hollywood Hills are residential, there are still a number of options for dining, entertainment, and shopping located within close proximity. This is of course if you don't want dinner from the Chateau Marmont delivered to your doorstep.

  • Sunset Strip. Easily the most developed and commercial area nearby, this is where you’ll find BOA SteakhouseSkybarViper Room, and so much more. This is definitely the place to go if you want to see and be seen.

  • The Magic Castle. You will need an invite from a member to say “open sesame” to the sliding bookcase, but everyone knows someone in this town.

  • Hollywood. Recent redevelopment has brought a number of shopping options to Hollywood, including Trader Joe’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, and more. Be sure to check out the Hollywood Farmer’s Market on Sunday mornings for some of the best local and organic produce around.

  • Beachwood Village. Known for serving hikers and visitors making their way to and from the upper canyons in the area, Beachwood Village is home to Beachwood Cafe and Beachwood Market, both offering fresh and unique food.

  • Franklin Village. Located on Franklin Avenue, Franklin Village is home to a number of restaurants with cozy outdoor seating areas, creating a special and welcoming vibe. Don’t miss the improv shows at Upright Citizens Brigade. Then grab a bite at La Poubelle Bistro, open until 2 am!

Sunday Funday

Whether you’re looking for a weekend getaway or a place to entertain visiting friends or family, make sure to check out the must-see spots in The Hills.

  • Griffith Park. Spanning more than 4,200 acres, Griffith Park is the 11th largest municipal park in the United States. With trails for horseback riding, biking, and hiking, Griffith Park is a clear favorite for those who are looking to get a dose of nature. The Griffith Observatory is especially popular with visitors and is the perfect nighttime activity with plenty of free admission activities.

  • Bronson Canyon. Perhaps best known as the entrance to the Batcave in the 1960s Batman series, Bronson Canyon has so much to offer. While serving as a lesser-known entrance to Griffith Park, we would argue that it’s easily one of the best.

  • Runyon Canyon. Despite being one of the smaller canyons in the area, Runyon Canyon is actually one of the most popular and tends to be more of a local hangout than a destination spot for tourists. The park features outdoor yoga and is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friends for some sightseeing and exercise.

Schools

There are a number of schools for families to choose from, including public, private, and charter schools. Wonderland Elementary is a popular school for this area. You can also visit GreatSchools.org for more info.
